Pilchard is our daughter's horse and like many of us believes he can still do the things he could do a few years ago. He is extremely friendly and in no way a danger if normal equine rules are followed (i.e. he doesn’t kick, bite or chase people).
In any case he is always either fenced in a paddock or locked in his stable in the yard - so there is no obligation even to meet him ! (Bella (on the left) has moved on). Children often like to feed him a carrot or two or even help brush him down.
Please note that we are a small-holding and, whilst we love to let the children meet and feed the animals, we are not an animal park or farm per se
